SMG Awarded Spot in Food Logistics 2015 FL100+
Safeway Management Group (SMG) are excited to finish out 2015 in strong fashion!
We are honored to announce that for the fourth consecutive year, we have been awarded a spot on Food Logistics Magazine’s Top 100 Software and Technology Providers for the Food and Beverage Industry.
Over 150 companies applied for this year’s FL100+, more than any prior year. Because of this, we here at SMG are especially proud to a part of such an impressive list of software and technology providers complied of major players in our industry, as well as the supply chain sector at large.
The FL100+ serves as a resource guide for the readers of Food Logistics and companies who earned a spot on the FL100+ list are featured in the November/December 2015 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online.

Safeway Is Growing
Although most of our customers are in the U.S., we’ve been working with distribution centers in Ireland since 2002. Through word-of-mouth from our friends in Ireland and our excellent service reputation, we’re further expanding in Ireland and branching out to other countries in the Europe. We’re also starting a branch closer to our borders in Canada. Stay tuned for more developments.
Safety Software Launch
Safeway has serviced the transportation industry since 1996. Over the years we’ve introduced a number of innovations to our customers. Most recently we launched our web-based software programs that enable us to better serve customers by providing them easy access to important information pertaining to OSHA, DOT, Food Quality, HR and Training.
A Perfect Safety Record
We congratulate one of our customers who operates four warehouses for a major restaurant chain and went an entire year without experiencing a single injury. That’s right…NO injuries, not even any form of first aid!
Flawless Third-Party Audit
We congratulate our customer’s New York-based distribution center on achieving a perfect score on its most recent third-party audit. Those efforts, along with the utilization of Safeway’s services, contributed to its second perfect score in its last three audits.
